Catalysis innovation using metal complexes in non-routine oxidation states

We develop f-element and transition metal complexes in non-usual oxidation states for various catalytic applications. Particularly, we are experts in the design of low-valent lanthanide chemistry and high-valent palladium chemistry, including high-valent alkyl complexes. The original complexes are designed and characterized with a comprehensive set of spectroscopic and theoretical tools so that the link between the structure, the electronics, and the reactivity can be made. The project has been supported by the European Research Council from 2017 to 2022 and is still running between Grégory Nocton and Grégory Danoun.
